Notes
This stage was built by brothers Billy and Tommy Curl, who fished on Fox Harbour Point. The brothers used this stage for salting fish and cleaning salmon, herring and mackerel in preparation for sale. They also built and repaired boats in the stage. It has been said that many years this stage was filled to the doors with salt fish – as the Curls were among the “highliners” when it came to the amount of fish they caught and salted.
