This structure was built by Gordon Fry and was used to store and mend gear used in his fishing enterprise. Gordon was raised by the Crewe family, therefore was often known as Gordon Crewe. He married Ethel Mae Fry (nee Fry) and they had 2 sons and 5 daughters together. When the couple passed, their son Henry George Fry sold their property to private owners who were committed to preserving the fishing heritage of the province. Gordon Fry was very industrious. Along with his house, he built four fishing sheds, a covered well, a piggery, a barn and a wood house. The fish store was restored with the help of the Fisheries Heritage Preservation program in 2009.
