The Higgins Stage was built by brothers Andrew and Michael Higgins and is one of a series that occupied the site. The current stage was built in 1962 and substantially rebuilt around 1980. It was used by the Higgins crew to salt and store fish. At one time longliners could load and unload at the stage.
