Notes
Located in Pacquet, Elms Store was originally a two-storey structure. The top storey was used for storing fishing gear, knitting nets and repairing fishing gear. The lower storey was used for storing salt fish. The lower storey was also used as a “grub” store where household winter supplies purchased in bulk at the end of the fishing season were stored. Meat would also be hung here during the winter months. Built by the Elms family, it was bought by Robert Sacrey in the early 1920s.
