Notes
This stage was built by Stewart Sturge using materials recycled from a store owned by the Salvage Cooperative Society. That building had originally been used as a small retail store by Bill Dyke, before the co-op acquired it for storing bulk goods. Mr. Sturge cut the building into sections and moved it to the waterfront, where he reassembled it. It has been used in the inshore fishery during lobster and cod seasons, for hunting birds and seals and for building and repairing punts.
