Notes
This property consists of a stage, store and flake which are known locally as Ings Room. The stage was used for tying up boats and for cleaning, storing and salting fish. Once it had been in salt for the proper amount of time, the fish were washed and spread on the flakes to dry. When properly cured the fish would be put into the store to await shipment to local merchants. Cod was the main species processed at the room, along with caplin, mackerel, herring and squid.
