Notes
These two stages were built by Walter King in 1940. They were built in Ivanhoe and were used as a herring processing area for the packaging of pickled herring into barrels for shipping. The stages were taken apart and rebuilt in Pope’s Harbour in the late 1950s by Augustus Pippy and used as carpentry shops until 1964. In 1965, under the resettlement program, the stages were floated to Champney’s Arm, where they were then used as fishing stages by the Pippy family.
