This stage, store and wharf belonged to William Henry Brown, later his son Albert Brown and then his grandson Melvin Brown. The stage was used to land and process heavy salt fish. The fish would be washed and dried on the nearby flake. The stage was also used for storing rowboats. The store was used to store cod traps and nets and to do any mending to traps and nets. When fish was being dried and it would be stored in this building over night.
