This stage was built by Simon Hewitt and his sons William and Adam in 1945. The stage was used to store fishing gear and salt fish. It was restored with the help of the Fisheries Heritage Preservation program in 2007. Simon’s grandsons Gary, Lorne and Owen Hewitt personally completed the manual labour required to restore the fishing stage.
