Notes
A fishing stage has existed on this site since the 1940s, when the property was owned by Mr. Joey King. The property was purchased by Norman Janes in 1968, after his family relocated from British Harbour to New Bonaventure and Janes built his own stage on the site. The structure built by Norman Janes has basically remained the same since the time of its construction, undergoing only minor and necessary repairs from year to year. The building was used by Norman Janes while he was involved in the fishery and was later used by his son Gary in the crab, caplin and squid fisheries.
