This stage was built by Maurice Hunt in 1948, in St Joseph’s, Placentia Bay. There it was used for 25 years, for salting and storing fish during the fishing season and during the winter for mending and storing fishing gear. Hunt’s son Adrian towed the property to Rushoon in 1968 during the resettling of St. Joseph’s. It has since been used for salting fish and storing firewood and boat supplies. The Fisheries Heritage Preservation Program helped restore this property in both 2008 and in 2014.
